Last month I set off on my journey. Anxious, worried and excited, with everything I owned in my 60 litre backpack, I boarded a plane to Bangkok.
I am not only on a journey in a physical way, but spiritual and mental as well. These are my reflections on my trip so far.

New beginning
I would have never expected to be this hard to leave London, its people, its crowded streets and the bloody transport system.
I would have never expected that one day I will be sleeping on my friend's couch and miss having my own space.
I would have never expected that I will be so scared of going to another country.

The Blond confessions: my next trip is coming closer
I haven't updated the blog for a while, mainly because the fact that I'm busy, and if I'm not busy I am tired. I mean, tired to a point that I can't keep up with the daily world. For the last week or so I have been suffering from insomnia. I sleep a few hours per night, wake up at 2 am and can't fall back to sleep. My mind goes on 100 miles an hour and doesn't want to stop, and I still need to get up at 6 and go to work. I still need to get on a packed train, walk down to the underground with thousands of other tired passengers, sit at my desk for 7 hours and pretend that I'm doing something, so the Company can pay me my share at the end of this month.

The Blond confessions: 5 things I will miss about London
The countdown is on. I have 5 weeks left – just over a month. The thought of going away fills me with joy, but also dread, because I will miss this bloody city. I hated it for so long and now I want to stay here longer. I will miss so many things about it. Here is a list of just a couple of things I will long for when I’m away.

Blond confessions: Saying good-bye to Boss number 2
My first good - bye.
I felt a little sad when I thought about it yesterday morning. I have been with the Company for 2+ years and have shed a lot of tears because of stress and general culture of the Office.
Boss number 2 has been especially difficult. I have never in my life had a boss, who was so disorganized and had so many random ideas and requests. He's been rude to me, intimidated me, and my self esteem got lower and lower every day I got to spend with him. And yet, I lasted far longer than anyone of his PAs and I felt sad thinking that I would never see him again.

4 ways to get rid of your stuff before setting off on your travels
I have 6 weeks left. 6 weeks people!!! (read my itinerary here). It’s scary and exciting and overwhelming.
Last week I got up and looked around my tiny flat. I still have so many things: clothes, accessories, books, photos, documents. I panicked a little. I really need to think of what I’m going to do with all this stuff. I keep putting the idea of sorting it out off. It might be that I’m too scared of the perspective of leaving. I have been enjoying myself a lot lately and I start to think that I don’t really want to go anywhere (that’s bull**, to be honest. I want to go. I’m just scared, that’s all). After thinking about it, I drew a little plan for myself and a list of what I could potentially do with my things. So, if anyone is preparing for a trip, like me, maybe you will also find it helpful.

Blond confessions: how to lose a guy on your first date
So, the guy shows up for the date and he is good looking: tall, dark, beautiful eyes, white teeth, clean nails.
You like him, he's nice, interesting and it's nice to chat to him. You have a drink with him and then he asks if you wouldn't mind going for a dinner. You agree and during the dinner he orders a bottle of wine. Well, another glass or two wouldn't hurt, right? So, you down those glasses and you feel a bit braver.
You ask him what he thinks about war in Afghanistan. He becomes uncomfortable, but you push him a little more. Then you say something about how you don't like imperialist politics of the States and he becomes a bit more awkward. He then takes out his phone and texts someone. You realise that your phone is buzzing, so you look at it and there is a text from him saying: 'I think those people at the table next to us are Americans' (oops!).
You feel a little silly, but that doesn't stop you from rumbling on about politics.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, he says 'Oh, I have a 6 year old son' after which you totally flip out, and uncontrollably you say something like 'I f** hate children. They are small and salivate', and you start behaving like this is the end of the world, like you are going to marry this guy and adopt the kid.
And that's it! Good luck!
P.S. I don't hate children. They are not my favorite thing in the world, but I don't hate them. I have no idea why I said that...

The Blond confessions: quitting the job - starting a new life
My boss has this really annoying habit of walking around the office in circles. He does that when he's tired and need a bit of a rest from the computer screen.
When he passes my desk I straighten up and stare at my 'to-do' list intensely. I keep the list long. Sometimes I add a few words in Polish, like 'kup ser' (buy cheese) to not only remind myself of the shopping I need to do that evening, but also to make the list look like I have thousands of things to do and I don't have time to scroll through Facebook every five minutes, exchange online recipes with my sister, or retweet some pretty cool stuff written by more talented people than me.

| American Boy - take me to New York |
I know this is supposed to be a travel blog, but my life has recently changed so much that I thought I will share some of my struggles with you. So, once a week I will try to give you an update on what I have been doing. It might not seem to you that these posts are travel-related, but believe me, the whole thing leads to a new adventure.
London is the greatest place on Earth to be single - that's what I've read recently. That might be true, but it depends what you are looking for.

The Blond Confessions: getting over my divorce
I know this is supposed to be a travel blog, but my life has recently changed so much that I thought I will share some of my struggles with you. So, once a week I will try to give you an update on what I have been doing. It might not seem to you that these posts are travel-related, but believe me, the whole thing leads to a new adventure.
I'm still in a process of finalising my divorce. I have been going through some really bad times. One day I think I will be fine, I can get through this. The next day I find hard to get up, to lift myself out of bed.
But I am getting better.

Confessions of the Blond
Some of you have noticed that I came back in March and on my blog I am still in Myanmar (this makes me happy, because at least some of you are paying attention). My neglect doesn't come from laziness, it is caused by some recent events in my life and this is what's happening.
