So yesterday I've become a British citizen. After months of studying for a test, which was a bit useless (studying and the test), then months of waiting for the application to be considered, we've finally managed to get it.
The citizenship ceremony was actually quite nice. I was a bit afraid that it was gonna be cringy.
For us it wasn't such a big deal. It was just a closure to the application, but I was looking at the other people in the room: the Africans, Chinese, Turkish and thought that it must be a very important moment for them. From now on they don't have to worry about visas, work permits etc. I congratulate all of them and wish them all the best in their new country.
